About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is conducting a Sources Sought notice to gather industry input on installation services for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems, specifically the AN/SQQ-89(V). The market research aims to assess capabilities for installation planning, physical installation, and shipboard test and evaluation across multiple naval platforms including cruisers, destroyers, frigates, and Foreign Military Sales partner platforms. Potential performance locations include naval bases in Hampton Roads, San Diego, Pearl Harbor, Japan, and Spain. Interested companies must submit unclassified responses via email by June 2, 2025, limited to six single-sided pages in PDF or MS Word format. Respondents are expected to detail their qualifications, capabilities for handling classified information, and experience with Navy system installations, as well as provide suggestions on potential contract structure.
No specific set-aside designation has been applied to this opportunity, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. While the precise award value is not specified, the comprehensive scope suggests a potentially significant contract involving multiple naval platforms and international installations. The solicitation encourages small businesses to indicate their capabilities and interest in performing the entire requirement. The project falls under NAICS Category 334511 for Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, and PSC Category N012 for Installation of Equipment - Fire Control Equipment. The market research phase is designed to help NAVSEA understand industry capabilities and refine the eventual full solicitation for ASW system installations across various naval platforms and locations.
