NASA's National Shared Services Center (NSSC) is seeking annual tool performance maintenance services for a 4Wave Ion Mill used in detector fabrication at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The agency intends to issue a sole source contract to 4WAVE, INC for comprehensive maintenance activities, including cleaning sputtered material from shields, refurbishing ion optics, and purchasing replacement spare parts. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing by March 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, with the government evaluating these submissions to determine whether to proceed with competitive or non-competitive procurement. The contract is set aside for total small business participation and will be procured using FAR Part 12 and Part 13 procedures under NAICS Code 541690 for Scientific and Technical Consulting Services. The potential contract value is approximately $49,990, with costs distributed across four primary line items: $4,900 for cleaning and parts delivery, $16,940 for spare parts, $13,200 for annual performance maintenance, and $13,194 for ion optics refurbishment. The performance period is expected to be within 12 months of award, with services to be performed on-site at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The primary point of contact is Kathi Thomas (Procurement Specialist), with Tiffany Neal serving as the Contracting Officer. The procurement specifically supports ongoing NASA programs, including the ATHENA project, and requires the vendor to provide a service engineer, safely transport and refurbish components, and ensure all parts are properly conditioned for reinstallation.
