About this opportunity

The National Park Service (NPS), specifically the Park Facility Management Division (PFMD), is conducting market research to identify and procure an advanced analytics and business intelligence platform to support its Facility Management Software System (FMSS). The agency seeks a comprehensive solution that can gather, analyze, and visualize data from multiple sources to enhance operational decision-making and efficiency. The procurement will focus on platforms with capabilities across 11 key functional areas, including data visualization, governance, reporting, analytics catalog, data preparation, automated insights, metrics layer, data storytelling, natural language query, collaboration, and composability. Vendors must complete a detailed questionnaire evaluating their platform's capabilities, self-scoring on a 0-4 scale and providing supporting documentation. The sources sought notice requires responses by January 10, 2025, with vendor demonstrations planned for January 20-31, 2025, and submissions should be sent to laura_carlstrom@nps.gov or tomica_cooper@nps.gov.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations for small businesses, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The anticipated NAICS code for this procurement is 513210 (Software Publishers), suggesting the solution will be software-based. While no specific budget range or award value is disclosed, the platform must integrate with existing systems including IBM Maximo, Financial Business Management System (FBMS), project management tools, and cost estimating systems. The solution should support enterprise reporting, dashboard creation, advanced analytics, and self-service capabilities with sophisticated features like generative AI integration, automated insights, and natural language querying. The procurement timeline indicates the opportunity was posted on December 19, 2024, with a response deadline of January 21, 2025, suggesting a potential contract award in the first quarter of 2025.
