About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Center of Military History (CMH) - Army Museum Enterprise (AME) in conjunction with Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is conducting a market survey to identify vendors capable of providing an advanced environmental monitoring system for 43 museum locations across 17 U.S. states, including Hawaii. The system must function as an independent, closed platform capable of collecting and transferring environmental data wirelessly, with specific technical requirements including data logging for temperature, relative humidity, and light exposure, secure cloud storage, and comprehensive software functionality for remote monitoring, emergency alerts, and data analysis. Interested vendors are required to complete a detailed questionnaire addressing topics such as hardware communication methods, data logging precision, user access capabilities, cloud storage interfaces, emergency alert systems, training provisions, and pricing models. This Request for Information (RFI) is strictly for market research and planning purposes; no award will be made from this submission, and responses will be used solely to inform the government's procurement strategy. All responses must be submitted electronically in PDF format to Sydney Huston at sydney.r.huston.civ@army.mil by 12:00 PM EST on January 6, 2026.

No set-aside designations have been applied to this pre-solicitation notice, and no incumbent contractors or current award values have been identified at this stage of the market survey. The opportunity encompasses 43 individual museum locations requiring environmental monitoring capabilities, though the specific timeline for system implementation and contract duration have not been disclosed in the pre-solicitation materials. As this is a Request for Information rather than a formal solicitation, no contract award value or budget range has been established, and vendors should not anticipate a guaranteed procurement opportunity. Interested parties are encouraged to submit comprehensive responses that demonstrate their technical capabilities, compliance with federal procurement regulations, and ability to support and maintain the environmental monitoring system across the specified museum locations. The posting date of December 17, 2025, with a response deadline of January 6, 2026, provides approximately three weeks for vendors to prepare and submit their market survey responses.
