About this opportunity
The Department of Health and Human Services Indian Health Service (IHS) has issued a Special Notice for a Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) Virtual Matchmaking event scheduled for March 27-28, 2025. The event will be hosted by the Albuquerque Area IHS Division of Contracts and Grants Management and is designed to provide an opportunity for women-owned small businesses to showcase their capabilities to IHS acquisition professionals. The virtual event will take place from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day and is free to participate. The notice was published on January 16, 2025, with a registration deadline of March 28, 2025. The event is limited to the first 43 vendors who register.
The primary objective of the virtual matchmaking event is to allow women-owned small businesses to market their qualifications directly to IHS acquisition professionals, including Contracting Officers, Contracting Officer Representatives, Purchase Card holders, and various subject matter experts such as IT Site Managers, Engineers, and Medical Directors. Participating vendors will have a 15-minute presentation slot, with 10 minutes allocated for organizational overview and 5 minutes for questions from the acquisition team. To participate, vendors must register by emailing ALBAreaSmallBusiness@ihs.gov and can submit supporting documents in advance of their presentation. It is important to note that this is not a bidder's conference, request for proposal, or a commitment to contract. The event serves 27 Indian Tribes within the Albuquerque Area IHS jurisdiction and offers a unique platform for small businesses to engage with potential government contracting opportunities.
