About this opportunity

The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (IHS), a civilian agency under the Department of Health and Human Services, has published a Special Notice inviting small businesses to participate in a monthly virtual Small Business Hour. This recurring outreach event is designed to provide small businesses with direct access to key acquisition personnel, including Contracting Officers, Contracting Officer's Representatives, and Purchase Card Holders from the Albuquerque Area IHS. The Special Notice was posted on February 10, 2026, with a deadline of December 31, 2026. This initiative demonstrates the agency's commitment to expanding small business engagement and procurement opportunities within the Albuquerque Area IHS.

Small businesses interested in participating should email ALBAreaSmallBusiness@ihs.gov to express their interest and submit any presentation materials they intend to use during their session. Each Small Business Hour will feature four participating small businesses, with each company allocated 15 minutes total—10 minutes for presenting their organization overview, core capabilities, and relevant qualifications, followed by 5 minutes of live question-and-answer with the IHS acquisition team. There are no specific set-asides or eligibility restrictions mentioned beyond the requirement that participants must be small businesses. This ongoing program supports the Albuquerque Area IHS's broader mission of building meaningful partnerships and increasing small business participation in procurement opportunities.
