About this opportunity

The Department of Health and Human Services Indian Health Service, specifically the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service Division of Contracts and Grants Management, has issued a Special Notice announcing a virtual Service-Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business Industry Day. This networking event is scheduled for August 14-15, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day and will provide an opportunity for Service-Disabled Veterans Owned Small Businesses to present their capabilities directly to IHS acquisition professionals and subject matter experts. The event is free to attend but registration is required and space is limited to the first 46 vendors. Interested businesses must contact ALBAreaSmallBusiness@ihs.gov to register and reserve their presentation slot. This is explicitly not a bidder's conference or request for proposals, and the government assumes no liability for vendor costs associated with participation.

The primary purpose of this virtual matchmaking event is to enable Service-Disabled Veterans Owned Small Businesses to self-market their capabilities and qualifications to IHS acquisition teams, including Contracting Officers, Contracting Officer Representatives, Purchase Card holders, and various subject matter experts such as IT Site Managers, Engineers, Biomedical professionals, Chief Medical Officers, and Directors of Nursing. Each participating vendor will receive a 15-minute presentation slot, with 10 minutes allocated for showcasing their organization and 5 minutes for questions from the acquisition team. Vendors are encouraged to submit supporting documents and capabilities statements when registering, as these materials will be shared with the acquisition team during their scheduled presentation. Eligibility is specifically limited to Service-Disabled Veterans Owned Small Businesses, and registration operates on a first-come, first-served basis until the 46-vendor capacity is reached. The event represents a strategic initiative by the Albuquerque Area IHS to enhance small business engagement and expand their vendor base within the veteran-owned business community.
