About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting market research for an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) Medical Evaluation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide professional review of medical records for ATCS applicants. The selected contractor will be responsible for independently reviewing medical records, including applications and pertinent documentation, and providing medical clearance recommendations to the FAA's Virtual Hiring Team. Key requirements include current state medical licensure and experience in aerospace medicine. The FAA is seeking responses from large businesses, small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and 8(a) certified firms by April 12, 2024, to help determine the acquisition strategy and whether adequate competition exists to set aside the requirement.

This is not a request for proposals, and the FAA will not pay for any costs incurred in preparing responses. There is currently no set-aside designation, and the NAICS code and PSC have not been provided. The FAA has not determined the award value or budget range, and there is no information on potential incumbent contractors. The Statement of Work indicates the contract will be primarily performed remotely, with the government providing necessary equipment and materials.
