About this opportunity
The Department of the Army National Guard, specifically the 164th Airlift Wing, is seeking to replace air compressor equipment at their Main Hangar facility in Memphis, Tennessee. The project requires a contractor to disconnect and remove one existing 150 HP air compressor while furnishing and installing two new rotary screw air compressors in its place. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, and tools to ensure proper operation of the new compressor system, with the removed equipment remaining property of the 164th AW. Award will be made to the offeror representing the best value to the government under a firm-fixed price contract structure. Questions are due by September 17, 2025, with quote submissions required by September 22, 2025 at 3:00 pm CDT, and a mandatory site visit is scheduled for September 11, 2025 at 9:00 am CDT.
This procurement is set aside exclusively for Total Small Businesses under NAICS code 333912 (Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The contract involves replacing a single 150 HP unit with two new rotary screw compressors, though specific quantities and technical specifications are detailed in the Statement of Work. Performance will take place at the 164th Airlift Wing facility located in Memphis, Tennessee 38118. The government has indicated that funds are not presently available beyond September 30, 2025, making the contract's continuation contingent on appropriated funds being made available. Previous contractor experience mentioned in the documentation indicates that United Rentals was used for equipment transportation, and the removed compressor must be transported to a marshaling yard approximately 500 yards from the work location.
