About this opportunity

The Department of the Interior National Park Service Pacific West Region seeks supply and delivery of approximately 2,485 tons of Class II 3/4-inch aggregate road base material to Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County, California, with quotations due August 4 by 2:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS 212321 (Construction Sand and Gravel Mining), with a 500-employee size standard.

Performance runs from August 12 through November 12, 2026. Delivery locations are Site 1 (Palomarin Road near 525 Mesa Road, Bolinas, CA 94924) for approximately 2,400 tons and Site 2 (Red Barn Classroom Road at 1 Bear Valley Road, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956) for approximately 85 tons. The material must be virgin, crushed aggregate from a certified weed-free quarry conforming to California Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, uniformly graded, and free of organic matter, clay lumps, and deleterious material; no recycled or river run material is accepted. Maximum particle size is 3/4 inch per AASHTO T27. Deliveries via end-dump and bottom-dump trucks are accepted Monday through Thursday (excluding Federal holidays) from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., coordinated with Work Leader Levi McIsaac at (415) 464-5161 or Roads Supervisor Jeff Jewhurst at (415) 464-5158. The contractor must spread aggregate at both sites for immediate NPS use.

Quoters must submit pricing on a unit-price basis (per ton), quarry name and location, company information with UEI from SAM.gov, and past performance references from the past six years via email to rocio_gomezmacias@ios.doi.gov. Award is a firm-fixed-price purchase order to the responsible quoter whose quotation is most advantageous considering price and past performance. Contractors must maintain liability insurance of $500,000 per person/occurrence and property damage coverage, workers' compensation insurance, and develop a site-specific safety and health plan prior to work commencement.
