About this opportunity
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base intends to award a sole-source contract to Parker-Hannifin Corporation for repair and refurbishment of two Flame-Ionization Detector (FID) gas generators, with a response deadline of September 18, 2026. This is not a competitive solicitation; no Request for Proposals or Quotations will be issued, and no solicitation package exists.
The Air Force Petroleum Agency's Aerospace Fuels Laboratory at Vandenberg Space Force Base seeks repair of FID-1000 (Serial Number FVN7QJSL) and FID-2500 (Serial Number K01RCMEG). These gas generators supply hydrogen fuel and zero air to chromatograph detectors used in the Hydrazine Lab and Gas Lab for testing propellants to military specifications. Parker-Hannifin is the sole certified vendor capable of performing the work; repairs from any other source would void manufacturer warranties and create operational risk. The contract is structured as a Firm Fixed Price Commercial Purchase Order under NAICS 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance), PSC J066, with a total cost of $25,271.32. The contractor must deliver repaired units fully operational within four weeks of contract approval to Vandenberg AFB, California, with a 90-day warranty covering replaced components. All shipping costs and insurance are included in the contractor's proposal.
