About this opportunity
The National Institute of Standards and Technology seeks procurement of one aerosol electrometer for charge concentration measurement, with proposals due September 21. This is a 100% Women-Owned Small Business set-aside.
Place of performance is NIST's Gaithersburg, Maryland facility (100 Bureau Drive, Building 301, Room B129, Stop 1640). The instrument must measure total net charge on aerosol particles between 2 nanometers and 5 micrometers with RMS noise of 0.25 fA at 1-second averaging. Required capabilities include a vacuum source, automatic or programmable flow control, remote control via Ethernet, USB, or RS-232 interfaces, analog voltage output for data recording, Windows-compatible software, and full compatibility with TSI 3082 electrostatic classifiers as well as TSI 3756 and 3775 condensation particle counters. The instrument must operate on 120V, 60 Hz AC power. Delivery is FOB Destination within 16 weeks of order receipt to the Gaithersburg facility during normal business hours (7:30 am to 3:00 pm Mountain Time, Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays), with required coordination with the NIST Subject Matter Expert prior to shipping. A one-year warranty beginning upon government acceptance is mandatory.
