About this opportunity

The procurement is set aside for Total Small Business and carries an estimated project cost under $50,000.
Place of performance is NAS Meridian, MS 39309. Work comprises two firm fixed-price line items: aerial spraying of herbicide on 108 acres for site preparation, completed by October 31, 2026, and hand planting of 111 acres with genetically improved containerized loblolly pine seedlings between December 15, 2026, and March 15, 2027.
For herbicide application, the contractor must apply specified rates of Imazapyr 4, Glyphosate 4, SFM Extra, surfactant, and water per acre, guaranteeing 95% coverage with at least 80% of covered area remaining free from hardwood competition for two full growing seasons. For tree planting, the contractor must plant quality genetically improved containerized loblolly pine seedlings at 10' × 8' spacing (544 seedlings per acre, with allowable variance of +/- 50 seedlings per acre). The seedlings' geographic seed source origin must be suitable for Kemper/Lauderdale Counties, Mississippi. Failure to plant at least 90 percent of trees satisfactorily requires replanting at contractor expense.
