About this opportunity
The US Agency for International Development South Sudan (USAID/South Sudan) issued a solicitation for the Advancing HIV & AIDS Epidemic Control (AHEC) activity. The purpose is to decrease morbidity and mortality among at-risk populations in South Sudan by increasing HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment, and retention services. Offerors must propose interventions to strengthen the capacity of local partners to eventually receive their own prime funding. Proposals are due by May 18, 2020 and will be evaluated on the offeror's technical approach, management plan, and past performance delivering related international health programs.
No set-aside designation was used. Work will be performed in Juba, South Sudan under NAICS code 541720 with the preponderant PSC code R497. The incumbent is Jhpiego under a $11.5 million cooperative agreement. Awards are anticipated as cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts valued between $20-24.5 million over four years. Initial focus areas are the states of Nimule, Yambio, Juba, Bor, Rumbek, and Wau for key populations as well as Jubek State and Tambura County for care and treatment. The scope of work includes indicators for over 75,000 adults and children to receive HIV testing services annually with prevention, care, treatment, and retention targets across 13 service sites.
