About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base is seeking capability statements from vendors for an Advanced Propulsion Development (APD) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The solicitation focuses on thirteen propulsion-related technology areas, including components, digital technologies, fuel efficiencies, high temperature technologies, maintenance/manufacturing/repair, and software solutions. Interested vendors are required to submit capability statements demonstrating their experience and ability to meet program objectives, specifically addressing at least one task within their chosen technology focus areas. Vendors are not required to provide capabilities across all thirteen areas but should concentrate on domains where they possess appropriate expertise and experience. The capability statements are limited to seven pages and must be submitted via DoD SAFE by the response deadline of February 21, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. ET.
No specific set-aside designation has been determined for this contract, meaning large businesses, small businesses, 8(a), HUBZone, EDWOSB, WOSB, and SDVOSB firms are all eligible to participate. The NAICS code for this opportunity is 336412, corresponding to Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing. While specific award values were not disclosed, the contract will cover advanced propulsion technologies spanning multiple engine types including large support engines, military engines, unmanned platform engines, small munitions engines, hypersonic engines, and turboprop/turboshaft engines. Vendors are encouraged to demonstrate prior performance through achieved results or outcomes without identifying specific customers or products. The comprehensive scope suggests this will be a significant multi-year contract supporting critical aerospace and defense propulsion technology development.
