About this opportunity

The Advanced Ocean Technology Program Division of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC EXWC) is soliciting proposals to conduct research and develop ocean engineering and naval architecture solutions in support of design, installation, operation and maintenance of both fixed ocean systems and towed systems. This work will be conducted on both NAVFAC EXWC vessels and ships of opportunity, and includes areas such as ocean cable infrastructure, underwater excavation and drilling, ocean current measurement systems, underwater power sources, and surface and underwater load handling systems. Proposals are due by March 15, 2024 and will be evaluated based on the offeror's technical approach, past performance, and price.

This is a total small business set-aside solicitation. The primary NAICS code is 541330 with PSC codes R425 and R425. The place of performance will be at NAVFAC EXWC facilities. The period of performance is one base year with four one-year options, and the total contract value is estimated between $5-10 million over the five year period. This follow-on contract builds upon research and development work conducted under previous contracts supporting NAVFAC EXWC's ocean engineering mission requirements.
