About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking advanced cleaning and inspection services for firefighter's personal protective equipment (PPE) at NAS Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, TX. The solicitation targets cleaning and inspection of 28-117 PPE ensembles in compliance with the 2020 National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1851 standard, which requires advanced cleanings twice annually and comprehensive inspections at least once per year. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be released on or about April 15, 2025, via SAM.gov, with all questions to be submitted via email to Contract Specialist Mrs. Peiney Allerton, referencing solicitation number N6883625QS003. Interested parties must be registered in SAM as a Woman Owned Small Business under NAICS code 812320, which has a small business size standard of $8M. The contract will be evaluated based on compliance with technical specifications and business qualifications, with responses due by April 25, 2025.

The procurement is exclusively set aside for Woman-Owned Small Businesses as a sole source opportunity, with a firm-fixed price purchase order structure. The contract will have a 1-year base period with four additional 1-year option periods, providing potential long-term engagement for the selected vendor. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the NAICS code of 812320 for Drycleaning and Laundry Services suggests a potential scope compatible with the $8M size standard. The service requirements involve meticulous cleaning and inspection protocols, ensuring firefighting equipment meets critical safety standards through advanced maintenance procedures. The total number of PPE ensembles ranges between 28 and 117, indicating flexibility in service volume and potential scalability throughout the contract period.
