The Bureau seeks an industrial-grade additive manufacturing system to replace an obsolete unit and support rapid prototyping and production of prototype and production-ready components for currency manufacturing operations.

The system must feature a build envelope of at least 400 x 350 x 400 mm with 0.25 mm dimensional accuracy, modular user-replaceable nozzles ranging 0.4–0.8 mm, and open-material architecture to prevent vendor lock-in. Delivered components must achieve minimum tensile strength of 30 MPa and impact strength of 50 J/m, accommodate continuous unattended printing, and fit within 20 square feet of floor space. A water-based support removal cleaning station with specified dimensions and electrical requirements is included.

Delivery is to 14th and C Streets, S.W., Washington, DC 20228, Room 602-19A, with installation required within nine months of anticipated contract award on August 30, 2026. The contractor must conduct four days of in-person training (two days software, two days operations) for up to five BEP employees, deliver three product manuals and a spare parts list in MS-Excel format, and provide a one-year warranty beginning upon government acceptance plus four optional one-year extended warranty periods. Final acceptance requires successful Bureau Acceptance Testing, training completion, and 480 hours of production operation without failures.

Capability statements must be submitted in PDF format to erica.hemphill@treasury.gov. NAICS 333248 (All Other Industrial Machinery Manufacturing) and PSC 3695 (Miscellaneous Special Industry Machinery) apply.
