About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure adapters for drive motors in repair and modification work. This pre-solicitation notice was posted on July 8, 2025, with a due date of February 10, 2026, allowing interested parties considerable time to prepare their proposals. The procurement involves National Stock Number (NSN) 7H-1285-012551684 with delivery requirements to two DLA Distribution locations: New Cumberland, Pennsylvania and San Joaquin/Tracy, California. The government has determined that it is uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part, indicating that contractors must possess existing technical documentation and manufacturing capabilities. Interested parties should note that detailed specifications, drawings, and purchase descriptions are available through the ASSIST-Online system and the DoD Single Stock Point in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to qualified small business entities. The contract calls for delivery of 19 units of the adapter drive motor, with the government indicating its intent to exercise an option quantity at the same unit price and delivery rate as the initial order. The pre-solicitation notice does not specify an explicit award value or budget range, though the quantity and delivery requirements to multiple locations suggest a moderate-sized procurement. No incumbent contractor is identified in this notice. Potential bidders should prepare comprehensive proposals that demonstrate their technical capacity to produce this specialized component and ensure they can meet the delivery schedules to both the Pennsylvania and California distribution centers.
