About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Rock Island Arsenal is conducting a sources sought/request for information to identify potential contractors for the Ammunition Depot Automation (ADA) Project Management Office. The procurement focuses on sustaining critical automation applications used across eight ammunition locations, including Key Control, Joint Munitions Barcode Labeler (JMBL), Stockpile Inventory List Comparator (SILC), and Munitions Total Management System - Field Module Mobile (MTMS-FM Mobile). These applications provide extensive business process automation functionality for inventory management, key tracking, and barcode label generation in DoD ammunition operations. Potential contractors must demonstrate capabilities in supporting these specialized software systems. The market survey requires interested parties to submit their capabilities and delivery lead times via email to Claire Weinrich by 12:00 PM EST on December 24, 2024, with no telephone requests accepted. This is strictly a planning exercise and does not guarantee any contract award.

The contract is structured with a base year and four potential option years, providing a potential five-year engagement in the Other Computer Related Services (NAICS 541519) category. While no specific budget or award value is mentioned, the complexity of the automation applications suggests a technically sophisticated requirement. The scope involves supporting critical military logistics software across multiple ammunition depot locations, requiring robust technical capabilities in software sustainment and military logistics technology. Contractors will need to demonstrate expertise in developing and maintaining specialized inventory management and tracking applications that integrate with Department of Defense systems and workflows. The government emphasizes that this is a market research effort and does not constitute a formal solicitation or guarantee of future procurement.
