About this opportunity
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), in support of the Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO LS), is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of providing PSC 14029 Service Cranes for integration with the Amphibious Combat Vehicle-Recovery (ACV-R) platform. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only and does not constitute a formal solicitation or binding procurement obligation. The government seeks vendors capable of procuring, manufacturing, shipping, and handling service cranes that meet specific technical specifications, including a lifting capacity of 2,900 kg to a height of 16.1 feet without outriggers, stationary controller operation, remote control capability, and compatibility with BAE's hydraulic system and the existing ACV-R hull design. Interested vendors must submit an executive summary of no more than 15 pages by December 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM local time, via email to Kendel Phillips. The submission should include company contact information, CAGE Code, business size classification, technical capabilities, past performance history, and facility security clearance details. No evaluation criteria have been formally established at this stage, as this is preliminary market research to determine vendor availability and capability.
This pre-solicitation notice includes no set-aside designations. BAE Systems Land & Armaments LP (BAE) is the current incumbent contractor responsible for production of the ACV platform variants under contract M67854-16-C-0006 and initial design of the ACV-R PRTV. The government requires procurement of up to 36 PSC 14029 Service Cranes to support the Marine Corps' Approved Acquisition Objective (AAO), though no specific budget range or award value has been disclosed in this market research phase. The quantity of 36 units represents the full requirement needed across the ACV-R program. Following this market research period, the government intends to issue formal procurement notifications on the System for Award Management (SAM) website, and interested contractors are encouraged to register and monitor SAM for subsequent solicitation announcements.
