About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps, through its Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), has issued a Sources Sought Notice seeking engineering support for the ACV-30 Remote Turret system, specifically expertise in developing and delivering Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for the Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace PROTECTOR Series Remote Turret - 20 (RT-20). The primary objective is to determine commercial vendor availability and capability for sustaining the ACV-30 turret platform. Required qualifications include Subject Matter Expert (SME) level understanding of the RT-20 system and demonstrated capabilities in prototyping, testing, ECP development, production operations, documentation development, finite element analysis, and field service support. Interested contractors must submit an executive summary of no more than 15 pages that includes company contact information, entity codes, business size designation, and a detailed white paper describing their capabilities and relevant past performance. The submission deadline is January 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time, with responses to be sent to kendel.phillips@usmc.mil.

This is a market research notice only and carries no set-aside designation. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KDA) currently manufactures the RT-20 turret, while BAE Systems Land & Armaments LP produces the ACV vehicle chassis platform under existing contract M67854-16-C-0006. No specific award value or budget range has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation phase. The anticipated performance period for turret support and sustainment operations spans from the third quarter of 2026 through the second quarter of 2028, representing a 24-month engagement timeline. It is important to note that this Sources Sought Notice is for planning and informational purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation; no proposals are being solicited, and the government has no obligation to award any contract or reimburse respondents for their submission costs.
