About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command, specifically the 60th Contracting Squadron, has issued a Special Notice announcing their intent to award a sole source contract to Advance Sound & Electronics for badge access control system components at David Grant Medical Center (DGMC), Travis AFB, California. The procurement involves acquiring two Badge Access Readers for rooms 3B308 and 3B318 in the Surgical Suite that must integrate with the existing PremiSys Access Control Management system manufactured by acre Security. The notice was posted on August 13, 2025, with a response deadline of August 28, 2025. This acquisition falls under NAICS code 238210 for Electrical Contractors and PSC code 6350 for Miscellaneous Alarm, Signal, and Security Detection Systems.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to provide advance notification of the government's intent to proceed with a sole source procurement under FAR 6.302-1 authority, citing that only one responsible source exists. Market research conducted by the contracting squadron confirmed that Advance Sound & Electronics is acre Security's exclusive authorized partner certified to install, service, and maintain the existing PremiSys system at DGMC. The manufacturer maintains strict authorization protocols and will not provide technical support to unauthorized entities, making integration with alternative systems unfeasible. While this is not a request for competitive proposals, the notice allows responsible sources to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations by the August 28, 2025 deadline. Contractors must demonstrate comprehensive capability to service all system components and maintain authorized certification from acre Security to be considered eligible for this specialized security system integration requirement.
