About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Test Center is procuring accelerometer calibration services for 16 accelerometers (Part Number 356A26) used in the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Sled Test Project at Holloman Air Force Base. The calibration services must be performed in accordance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceability standards and must meet A2LA accreditation requirements, with all units requiring ISO/IEC 17025 accredited level calibration services. Contractors must provide calibration certificates with test results, cover a frequency range of 10 to 5,000 Hz with pass criteria of 5% deviation, and include diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair capability, and return shipping costs. Award will be made on a firm-fixed-price basis using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation method, with quotes sorted by total evaluated price across all contract line items. The deadline for quote submission is April 16, 2026, at 8:00 AM MDT to Contracting Officer Charles W. King at Charles.king.42@us.af.mil, with all prospective vendors required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award.

This is a total small business set-aside procurement under NAICS Code 334515 with no identified incumbent contractors. The solicitation includes a mandatory base line item (CLIN 0001) requiring completion no later than May 15, 2026, plus four optional line items (CLINs 1001-4001) that may be exercised through December 31, 2027, with each calibration covering 16 units at firm-fixed prices to be provided by bidders. All calibrated equipment must be delivered within three weeks after receipt of order to the 846th Test Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico 88330 (DoDAAC F2ETGT), with F.O.B. Point as Destination. The contractor is responsible for return shipping costs, which must be included in the quote, while the government will provide initial shipment of the accelerometers to the contractor. This short-notice requirement was driven by immediate customer need, with the solicitation originally posted April 13, 2026, and subsequently extended to April 16, 2026, at 0800 MDT as the final extension.
