About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring repair and modification services for AC I/O boards under a sole source acquisition. The requirement involves NSN 7H-5999-016467911, TDP VER 002, for a quantity of 5 units with delivery FOB origin. The government has determined it does not own the necessary technical data rights and that acquiring such rights or reverse engineering would be uneconomical, justifying the sole source approach under FAR 6.302-1. While this is intended as a non-competitive procurement, the government will consider all proposals, quotations, or capability statements received within 45 days of the notice publication date. The due date for this pre-solicitation notice is August 29, 2025, and interested parties have 15 days to identify commercial item alternatives to the contracting officer.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designation and no incumbent contractors are specifically identified in the notice. The contract involves a quantity of 5 AC I/O board units requiring specialized repair and modification services. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the pre-solicitation documentation. The procurement falls under PSC category 5999 for Miscellaneous Electrical and Electronic Components and is subject to applicable Free Trade Agreements and World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement provisions. The government has conducted market research and determined that FAR Part 12 commercial item acquisition procedures will not be used for this requirement.
