About this opportunity
Air Combat Command intends to solicit a pilot program evaluating commercial AI capability to cleanse and standardize historical USAF aircraft maintenance data and provide prescriptive troubleshooting to maintainers, with responses due by July 31, 2026. No set-aside applies.
The solution must automatically ingest, cleanse, and standardize unstructured maintenance records from the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) and Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS), assigning standardized Air Transport Association codes to discrepancy and corrective action narratives with 90% accuracy without requiring preformatted source data. The AI must deliver discrepancy reporting guidance to aircrew, provide prescriptive troubleshooting recommendations with stated confidence levels based on repair effectiveness, support natural-language queries of historical records, and identify top recurring codes driving chronic degradation.
The contractor must deploy and integrate with historical data within 30 days of award to enable five months of live testing. The solution must operate in an IL4-compliant security environment and demonstrate ability to deploy within the pilot timeline. The capability directly supports increased aircraft availability and mission-capable rates by reducing aircraft downtime during troubleshooting and repair while decreasing manual, labor-intensive review required to identify recurring failure modes and defective components.
Responses are evaluated through a Draft Statement of Objectives (SOO) attached to the notice. NAICS 541511 (Custom Computer Programming Services) applies.
