About this opportunity

The 99th Contracting Squadron of the U.S. Air Force is seeking information from qualified and experienced vendors to provide preventive maintenance, inspection, and minor repair services for operational vehicle barriers at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. The key requirements include conducting quarterly preventive maintenance, providing emergency and routine service calls, making minor repairs, and performing additional in-scope work as needed. The government is looking for vendors to respond with information such as their business size, applicable small business certifications, and the time required to respond to a Request for Proposal and transition to begin the new service. Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) will assist the government in identifying potential sources and determining if a set-aside of the solicitation is appropriate.

This procurement is set aside for small businesses. The government has not disclosed any potential incumbent contractors or award value ranges. The draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) outlines a $50 per barrier per visit minor repair parts allowance and a requirement for a lead technician with at least 3 years of experience. The government is aiming to ensure a 96% operational rate for the barrier systems. Responses to the RFI are due by May 24, 2024, at 2:00 pm Pacific Time.
