About this opportunity

Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground is announcing its intent to award a sole-source contract to Micro Automation Inc. for maintenance and technical support of the Omni 911 system at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, with responses due by 4:00 pm Arizona time on July 13, 2026. This is a noncompetitive procurement; the Government will consider competition only if a response demonstrates clear and convincing evidence that doing so would be advantageous.

The contract covers a firm-fixed-price base term from July 24, 2026 through July 23, 2027, with four option years extending through July 23, 2031 and a further extension option through January 23, 2037. Total value is $424,065.30. Scope includes software components and updates, hardware repair or replacement, and 24/7 technical support for Omni 911 system issue resolution, funded through Operations & Maintenance, Army appropriations.

The sole-source justification rests on three grounds: the services can be provided only by the original source due to proprietary software and vendor restrictions; alternative award would create unrecoverable cost duplication; and immediate services are required for mission needs. Market research yielded no alternative sources. The vendor does not authorize other domestic vendors, and allowing such authorization would void warranty on government-owned equipment with replacement costs unrecoverable through competition. NAICS code is 541519 (Other Computer Related Services).

Direct inquiries or responses to Parker Dalrymple (parker.e.dalrymple.civ@army.mil) or Contracting Officer Lynette FairBanks de la Viega (lynette.j.fairbanksdelaviega.civ@army.mil).
