About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command seeks network cabling installation services for a modular office building at the 841st Transportation Battalion, with proposals due July 21, 2026. The procurement is a total small business set-aside with a firm fixed-price contract structure. Three amendments have modified deadlines: questions now due June 26, 2026, with offer submission extended from July 10 to July 17, then to July 21, 2026.

Place of performance is North Charleston, South Carolina (Joint Base Charleston, 2596 Basin Road, Building 3852). The scope requires installation of CAT6e/plenum cabling with 26 network data drops and 12 VoIP phone drops (38 total termination points) throughout an approximately 2,900 square-foot modular building. The contractor must provide all personnel, supervision, management, vehicles, labor, tools, materials, travel, and safety equipment. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend availability if required. The contractor must install wall plates with four RJ45 ports per plate, remove and dispose of abandoned cabling, perform cable testing and certification with wire mapping, and coordinate security access with the 841st Security Officer at least 10 days prior to work commencement.

Period of performance is July 31 to August 31, 2026 (most recently amended). NAICS code 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, applies with a small business size standard of $19 million. Service Contract Act prevailing wage rates apply for Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties in South Carolina. Contractor personnel must obtain Joint Base Charleston base identification and vehicle passes; failure to comply may result in withholding final payment. Evaluation is lowest-price conforming, with award to the offer meeting technical requirements and confirming capability to complete work within the performance period. FAR and DFARS clauses apply, including Buy American compliance, covered defense telecommunications restrictions, and safeguarding covered defense information. A site visit was conducted June 18, 2026.
