About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center Austin is soliciting responses to a Request for Information on TheraDoc Patient Clinical Monitoring Intervention Software, with responses due August 7, 2026. This is a pre-solicitation notice (sources sought) under NAICS 541519 and PSC 7A20, with no set-aside in the RFI phase, though a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside under VAAR 852.219-73 is anticipated in the formal solicitation, limiting subcontracting of non-certified SDVOSBs to no more than 50 percent of the amount paid by the government to the prime.
Performance will occur at the VA New Jersey Healthcare System's East Orange Campus. The software must deliver real-time patient clinical monitoring and intervention capabilities, including antimicrobial stewardship reporting per VA Directive 1031, adverse drug event surveillance, hospital-acquired infection identification, and customizable alerts stratified by clinical section. The solution must interface with VistA, CPRS, PIMS/AIMS, BCMA, and future Cerner systems; operate on Windows Server 2016 or higher in a virtualized environment; support VA Single Sign-On with PIV card authentication; comply with Joint Commission Standards, National Patient Safety Goals, Section 508 accessibility, zero-trust security controls, and IPv6-only and dual-stack connectivity; and implement generative AI requirements per Executive Order 13960 and OMB Memorandums M-25-21, M-25-22, and M-26-04. The contractor must deliver the software within 90 days of award, provide 24/7 technical support and maintenance including security patches for 12 months, and deliver custom-developed source code and an OVA/OVF virtual environment file. Responses must not exceed 15 pages and are submitted via email to Contract Specialist Candice Mazzetta (candice.mazzetta@va.gov).
