About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 16 is conducting a Sources Sought Notice for 24 Behavioral Tamburo Drum End Tables for the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System in Biloxi, Mississippi. The procurement targets Patient Day Room tables specifically for Mental Health Lock Down Units, with a preference for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Small Businesses. Interested vendors must submit capability statements by January 15, 2025 at 12:00 PM Central Time, which should include their Unique Entity Identification (UEI) number, proof of authorized furniture dealership, and relevant certifications. The tables must meet stringent acute mental health furniture standards, including chemical/impact resistance and tamper-proof features. Vendors are required to be registered and active in SAM.gov and must meet the NAICS code 337214 with a size standard of 1000 employees.

The solicitation does not have a specific set-aside designation, though it shows a strong preference for veteran-owned businesses. The planned furniture delivery and installation is scheduled for April 2025, with each table requiring 50 pounds of sand to be placed inside and secured. The project includes professional installation services with specific coordination requirements with the VA Interior Designer. The contract includes detailed installation, cleaning, and inspection protocols, and offers a 60-day free storage provision with a 10-year warranty on construction and finish. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement is for 24 specialized end tables designed for mental health facility use, indicating a focused and potentially precise procurement effort targeting a specific functional need within the VA healthcare system.
