About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey for the upgrade, repair, and engineering services of infrared cameras, day cameras, and other related equipment utilized on the southern border by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency. This pre-solicitation notice (6973GH-24-RFI-00010) seeks statements of interest, capabilities, and rough cost estimates from businesses capable of providing the required material and services. The FAA is interested in understanding the industry's approach to fulfilling the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work, including the percentage of work that can be performed by eligible small, service-disabled veteran-owned, and 8(a) certified businesses. Responses to this market survey must be received by 4:00 p.m. CST on Friday, August 23, 2024.
The nature of the competition for this potential acquisition has not yet been determined. The FAA may decide to pursue a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, or 8(a) certified firms. Interested vendors are required to submit a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. The FAA is conducting this market survey to determine whether adequate competition exists to set aside the potential acquisition among eligible small businesses.
