About this opportunity
Veterans Integrated Service Network 1 (VA Boston Healthcare System) is conducting market research via sources sought notice, with responses due August 5, 2026, on a Lynx Automated Liquid Handling Workstation or equivalent to replace an obsolete Tecan EVO 150 DNA normalizer. This is not a solicitation and carries no obligation to issue one; responses are for informational and planning purposes only, and the government will not reimburse submission costs.
Place of performance is VA Boston Healthcare System, 150 South Huntington Avenue, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. The system must deliver proprietary Volume Verified Pipetting (VVP) technology providing real-time, per-channel volume verification across a full 96-channel head for simultaneous DNA normalization of 96 samples in a single pass. The specified platform is a Dynamic Devices LM1200 chassis with 42 SBS deck positions, a 96-channel VVP pipetting head (1.5–1,250 microliter capacity), a secondary 4-channel pipetting arm with independent z-axis actuation, gripper with barcode imager (1D and 2D), and integrated labware elevator supporting up to 40 plates. Vendor must provide inside delivery, system assembly, configuration, operational verification, and mandatory on-site operator and superuser training covering scripting, maintenance, and DNA normalization workflows. A minimum one-year comprehensive OEM warranty with parts and labor coverage and technical support within 24 hours of issue reporting is required. The government notes VVP technology as proprietary to Dynamic Devices with no alternative systems providing equivalent real-time per-channel volume verification or true 96-sample simultaneous normalization. Interested firms must be SAM-registered and provide company information, performance capability documentation including hospital installation experience, socio-economic status classification, service area, and SBA certification if claiming SDVOSB or VOSB status.
