About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation) in Philadelphia is seeking contractors to manufacture Air Data Modules, as detailed in a pre-solicitation notice posted on February 4, 2025. The agency intends to solicit and negotiate with a limited number of responsible sources under FAR 6.302-1 authority, focusing on contractors capable of providing labor, materials, and facilities to meet specified manufacturing requirements. All interested sources may submit capability statements in response to this notice, with proposals received within 15 days of publication potentially being considered. The government retains full discretion in determining whether to compete the proposed contract, and only approved sources will ultimately be solicited. Contractors not currently approved as sources must submit comprehensive information from the Source Approval Information Brochure for Spares alongside their proposal.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, meaning the opportunity is open to a broad range of potential contractors within the Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing sector (NAICS 334511). DLA Aviation will not delay the award process while source approvals are pending, suggesting a potentially expedited procurement timeline. The procurement focuses on Navigational Instruments (PSC 6605), with the agency expecting to receive proposals by February 10, 2025. No specific award value or precise quantity of Air Data Modules was disclosed in the notice. Potential contractors should be prepared to demonstrate their technical capabilities, manufacturing readiness, and compliance with detailed source approval requirements to be considered for this procurement opportunity.
