Contractors must ensure compliance with FISMA requirements, OMB Circular A-130, and NIST security standards, including deployment of firewalls and web servers meeting government minimum security specifications; all government data must be protected behind approved firewalls, and security violations must be reported immediately to the VA Project Manager and VBA Headquarters Information Security Officer.
