About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has issued a Special Notice regarding the intent to award a firm-fixed price contract to Stryker Corporation for the procurement of fifty (50) Prime Electric Big Wheel Stretchers. This Special Notice is being published on behalf of the VA's White River Junction facility.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of the VA's plan to sole-source this requirement to Stryker Corporation, as their stretchers are the only products that can meet the minimum specifications. There is no waiver to the non-manufacturer rule in place, and no small business or service-disabled veteran-owned small business manufacturers have been identified, so the order will be placed against Stryker's existing Federal Supply Schedule contract. Interested parties must submit a response by May 9th, 11:00 AM EST, providing detailed documentation to allow the government to conduct market research and make a determination. However, this is not a request for competitive proposals, and there is no solicitation available at this time.
