Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, is seeking to procure a Symplicity G3 Renal Denervation (RDN) RF Generator to treat Veterans with uncontrolled hypertension. The medical device is designed to deliver low-level radiofrequency energy through the renal artery wall, with an advanced algorithm that automatically adjusts power based on temperature and impedance feedback. Key contract requirements include a comprehensive one-year warranty covering manufacturer defects, 4-hour callback support during business hours, and installation coordination with the Nurse Manager and Biomedical Engineering team. The solicitation requires the vendor to conduct electrical safety checks, provide service manuals, and demonstrate the generator's functionality to Biomedical Engineering and Interventional Cardiology Staff. The response deadline is June 10, 2025, with a required delivery timeline of 45 days from the time of order.

The contract is set aside for total small business participation, utilizing NAICS code 339112 for Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing and Product Service Code 6515 for Medical and Surgical Instruments. The procurement is for a single unit of the Symplicity G3 Generator, with no base or option periods, and payment terms are net 30 days. The generator specifications include detailed technical requirements such as RF output power of 6.5W maximum per electrode, input power range of 100-240V, and a temperature measurement range of 37°C to 65°C. Point of contact for additional information is Jill Neill, Nurse Manager for Medicine-Cardiology, or Kaylee Updegrave from Biomedical Engineering, both reachable at 215-823-5800. The procurement aims to provide an additional treatment option for Veterans with high blood pressure that is resistant to optimal medical therapy alone.
