About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 (Northern Arizona VA Health Care System) is seeking sources for a patient monitoring and connectivity platform featuring Masimo Corporation medical monitoring equipment. This Request for Information and Sources Sought Notice is being issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation. The required platform must be compatible with the Philips IntelliVue Monitoring System and capable of wireless, mobile, and remote tele-box operations with continuous monitoring of multiple physiological parameters including end-tidal carbon dioxide, electrocardiogram, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure. The VA has published 19 detailed evaluation questions for potential suppliers covering topics such as country of origin, manufacturing and distribution capabilities, FDA clearance status, lead times, business size classification under NAICS code 334510 (with a 1,250-employee size standard), and existing federal contract holdings. Responses must be submitted via email to Nathan.munson@va.gov by December 15, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST, and will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions for future solicitations or additional RFIs.
The procurement involves specific quantities of Masimo Corporation equipment: 3 units each of Carboxyhemoglobin Saturation monitoring devices (Part Number 2296), Radical-7 Color Screen Handheld Kits (Part Number 9500), and Root Kits with NIBP and Temperature capabilities (Part Number 9695-9). No set-aside designations have been applied to this opportunity. Masimo Corporation is identified as the specified manufacturer for the primary equipment components sought. While no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the requirement for three units of each major component suggests a moderate-scale initial procurement. The VA has emphasized that all responses remain proprietary and that responders are responsible for all expenses associated with submitting information to this RFI, which does not obligate the government to make an award or form a binding contract.
