About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration is conducting a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential vendors for Centrella Max 36" medical mattresses for the Portland VA Medical Center. The procurement seeks to obtain mattresses with specific salient characteristics, including surface dimensions of 35.5" x 87.5" x 8", patient weight capacity up to 500 lbs, microclimate technology, weight-based pressure redistribution, and bleach-resistant construction. Interested vendors must submit a capability statement and courtesy market research quote by 10:00 AM PST on April 14, 2025, to Christian Bianchi via email. The NAICS code for this opportunity is 339113, with small businesses defined as having no more than 800 employees. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide detailed information about their business classification, manufacturing capabilities, and authorized distributor status.
The procurement is currently an unrestricted, open market opportunity with no specific set-aside, though the VA is particularly interested in Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), and other small business participants. The intended contract will be a firm-fixed price supply purchase with delivery required within 90 days of award, to be delivered FOB Destination to the Portland VAMC Warehouse. Only new equipment from authorized manufacturers or distributors will be considered, and vendors must provide proof of authorized dealer or reseller status. The SBA Non-Manufacturer Rule will be applicable, and no waiver will be sought. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement involves a single mattress model (Part No. P7922A01) to be delivered to the Portland VA Medical Center, with strict requirements for equipment quality, origin, and delivery specifications.
