About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 17 (NCO 17) is conducting a Sources Sought notice for dock leveler replacements at the Big Spring Texas Health Care System. This market research initiative aims to identify potential qualified vendors within NAICS code 339112 with up to 1,000 employees. Interested parties must submit a capability response electronically to Tammy.Wilson5@va.gov by 2:00 PM CDT on April 3, 2025, with submissions limited to 10 pages in Microsoft Word or PDF format. To be eligible, vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and VISTA, with those claiming Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) status required to be verified through SBA's Veteran Small Business Certification. The VA will use the submitted information to facilitate the Contracting Officer's review of the market base, acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy.
The procurement strategy remains flexible, with the potential for set-aside opportunities for SDVOSB, VOSB, small businesses, or full and open competition depending on the market research responses. No reimbursement will be provided for submissions, and no feedback will be given to participants about their responses. The requirement specifically involves replacing dock levelers at the Big Spring VA Medical Center, with quality standards expected to meet or exceed those outlined in the associated Statement of Work. While no specific award value or contract duration is mentioned in the pre-solicitation notice, vendors are expected to demonstrate their capability to fulfill the technical requirements outlined in the sources sought notice. The VA's ultimate goal is to identify potential vendors who can provide high-quality dock leveler replacement services for the healthcare facility.
