About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation) is preparing to issue a solicitation for various cable assemblies and electrical components, specifically targeting suppliers of Robertson Fuel Systems, L.L.C. The contract will be an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) with a firm-fixed price structure, focused on critical application item requirements for helicopter-related electrical components. The solicitation (SPE4A625R0063) covers multiple National Stock Numbers (NSNs) for cable assemblies, power cables, radio cables, and electrical leads, categorized under NAICS codes 334419 and 333992. Proposals will be evaluated based on Estimated Annual Demand, ranging from 10 to 32 units, with pricing considerations and a guaranteed minimum to be specified in the full solicitation. The electronic proposal submission will be accepted through the Defense Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS), with a tentative solicitation release date of December 13, 2024, and proposal due date following shortly after.
The procurement will be issued as an other than full and open solicitation, with no specific set-aside designations. The contract will have a 5-year base period with no option years, and delivery requirements range from 135 to 320 days to stock delivery locations throughout the Continental United States. Vendors will be required to provide delivery under FOB Origin terms, with inspection and acceptance to occur at the destination for DLA Direct. The estimated annual demand suggests a moderate-scale procurement, with quantities between 10 and 32 units expected. Pricing will be evaluated competitively, and the solicitation emphasizes the critical nature of the electrical components, which appear to be primarily associated with Chinook (CH-47) and CH-53 helicopter systems. Interested vendors must carefully review the full solicitation details when released and prepare comprehensive proposals that meet the technical and logistical requirements outlined by DLA Aviation.
