About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Information Warfare Systems Command seeks proposals through its "5G to Next G" Advanced Wireless Communications Open Broad Agency Announcement to accelerate implementation of advanced wireless communications technologies at four selected Department of Defense sites. Proposals are due February 4, 2022 and will be evaluated based on their ability to enable outcomes through 5G technology applications in both continental United States and outside CONUS regions at the selected sites. The program will fund exploratory work, early 5G prototypes, and advanced application prototypes using a phased approach across the sites.
There is no set-aside designated for this opportunity. It is anticipated that work will be performed under NAICS code 334220 and PSC code D304, with budgets and award values dependent on individual project proposals and timelines. The program aims to proceed from exploratory work through early, intermediate, and full-scale implementations of 5G-enabled technologies over the next several years at the selected Department of Defense sites for experimentation.

The Department of Defense (DoD) has established the "5G to Next G" program to
accelerate implementation of advanced wireless communications with applications in both
the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside CONUS regions. The program uses
a "crawl, walk, run" approach, proceeding from exploratory work, to early 5G-enabled
prototypes, to advanced application prototypes and then full-scale implementations to
achieve the individual project outcomes that are enabled by 5G technology. The 5G to
Next G program has selected four DoD sites to conduct 5G experimentation.
