About this opportunity
Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Hood anticipates a total small business set-aside procurement for structural analysis of a communications tower on Como Hill to determine capacity to safely support installation and operation of three new 5G SpectrEdge Antenna systems; a source-sought response is due September 8, 2026.
The work is located at Fort Hood and requires comprehensive structural engineering assessment to validate tower suitability for the antenna systems or identify necessary reinforcements and modifications. The analysis must ensure compliance with all applicable engineering standards and building codes and confirm structural integrity under the additional weight and operational loads of the new equipment.
Responses should address competition considerations, including any conditions unnecessarily restricting competition and proposed alternatives. Submissions must include company name, point of contact, phone and email, SAM Unique Entity ID, CAGE code, business size designation, and applicable small business certifications (SDB, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, or others). This source-sought notice does not constitute a request for quote or commit the Government to contract; the Government will not accept unsolicited proposals or reimburse administrative costs. Responses will not be returned. If a competitive solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on SAM.gov. Contact Contract Specialist Mia N.
