About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs is procuring commercial laundry equipment for the New Mexico VA Health Care System in Albuquerque, specifically a Small Piece Folding Machine and a Blanket Folder System with associated technical specifications and installation requirements. The solicitation requires detailed technical capabilities including color touch screen controls, digital counters, programmable folding functions, and comprehensive safety mechanisms compliant with National Fire Protection Association standards. Contractors must submit equipment operation and maintenance manuals and provide advance shipment notice 15 workdays prior to delivery. Award will be made on a best value basis considering equipment capabilities, space utilization, past performance, and price, with the total evaluated price calculated by adding the quoted equipment price and deducting trade-in values for existing equipment. The proposal due date is December 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM Central Time, with a 90-day delivery requirement and 30-day installation completion timeline for a total contract duration of 120 days.

This solicitation is exclusively set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSBC) with strict certification and ownership requirements, including restrictions limiting subcontracting to non-certified SDVOSB firms to no more than 50% of contract performance costs. No specific incumbent contractors or budget range is identified in the available documentation. The procurement involves two Small Piece Folding Machines with the removal of two existing machines from the site as part of the project. The place of performance is located at 1501 San Pedro Dr SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Misrepresentation of SDVOSB status can result in debarment from VA contracting for a minimum of five years, emphasizing the importance of accurate certification compliance.
