About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces is seeking a reliable internet service provider for the 356th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Group (ECEG) located on Tinian Island in the Northern Mariana Islands. The procurement focuses on acquiring high-performance business internet service with specific technical requirements, including a minimum bandwidth of 50Mbps download and 10Mbps upload capable of supporting at least 20 users. Key contract objectives include obtaining a Tier-One service with an Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) that can maintain a 99.9% uptime Service Level Agreement (SLA) and provide comprehensive 24/7 customer support with continuous network monitoring. The government will evaluate potential contractors based on their ability to meet technical specifications, offer scalable service, and demonstrate robust network performance and support capabilities. Important dates for this opportunity include a Q&A deadline of April 25, 2025, and RFI responses due by May 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.
The contract is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, specifically targeting the NAICS category for Agents of Wireless Telecommunications Services. The previous contract was awarded to PTI PACIFICA INC for $4,704.00, indicating a relatively modest budget for this requirement. The service implementation requires the selected vendor to provide four wireless network routers with mobile capabilities and ensure a detailed rollout plan that minimizes operational disruption. Strict security requirements mandate excluding telecommunications equipment from specific manufacturers like Huawei, ZTE, Hytera, Hikvision, and Dahua. The contract aims to establish a reliable internet connectivity solution for mission-critical military operations on Tinian, with the service expected to be fully implemented within an agreed-upon timeline and demonstrate the ability to support potential future user expansion.
