About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force's 316th Wing is hosting its Annual Small Business Summit on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM EDT at Joint Base Andrews. The event is a strategic gathering designed to connect businesses, military leaders, and local government officials to discuss future requirements and opportunities at the base. Approximately 200 attendees are expected to participate in this free summit, which will be held at the Smart Center on JBA. The 316th Contracting Squadron will be present along with various Mission Partners to engage with small businesses. Registration for the event is open and can be completed through an online invitation system.

The primary objective of the summit is to provide small businesses with insights into government contracting opportunities and resources available at Joint Base Andrews. Key deadlines include registration closing on April 30, 2025, and the event itself occurring on May 30, 2025. The summit is open to all businesses, regardless of size, and will feature requirements briefs, presentations from local government representatives, and networking opportunities. Attendees can expect to learn about socio-economic business categories, most utilized NAICS codes, and common government purchases. The event will include optional breakout rooms and aims to help small businesses understand government contracting processes. Interested participants can contact event coordinators at gabriel.downing.1@us.af.mil or abigail.melvin@us.af.mil for additional information. The summit is part of a broader effort to support small business engagement, with the base having awarded 59.92% of its fiscal year 2024 contract actions to small businesses.
