This procurement is for a service plan for a Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (GCMS) for the 309th Missile Maintenance Group at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Thermo Electron North America LLC is the OEM of the GCMS and has performed repair and calibration in the past. The contract shall provide all management, parts, materials, tools, supplies, equipment and labor necessary for calibration and repair. This GCMS is used to test the chemical properties of propellant. The service plan will provide periodic maintenance, yearly calibration and repair as needed. There are an average of 100+ samples/tests run per month, with this being the only GCMS in the 309th Missile Maintenance Group. Calibrations shall be in accordance with original specifications established by the OEM. The contractor will need to provide a certified and experienced representative to accomplish all calibration and repairs on the GCMS equipment. The government has determined no other source could feasibly perform the required duties due to the GCMS being a Thermo Electron brand.
