About this opportunity
NASA/NSSC announced a sole source intent for a 30-day noise and vibration monitoring campaign at Stennis Space Center, with responses due by 12:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on August 12, 2026. The Government has determined that HGC Noise Vibration Acoustics, Inc. is the sole provider capable of performing this requirement under FAR 12.102(a) authority for commercial items and services.
The campaign requires deployment, operation, and retrieval of 73 monitoring systems—38 sound level stations and 35 triaxial vibration stations—across 16 SSC buildings plus outdoor monitoring at New Enterprise Park. Multi-floor instrumentation is required in buildings B1111, B1021, and B8000. The contractor must install all systems within a five-day deployment window, conduct 30 days of continuous monitoring, and retrieve equipment within two weeks. Performance metrics include 95 percent data availability per station, 100 percent pre-deployment calibration verification, 90 percent telemetry uptime, and final report delivery within 4–6 weeks post-retrieval. Deliverables include deployment and status summaries, raw and processed datasets, noise and vibration maps, event-aligned test summaries synchronized with NASA engine test logs, and a final technical report with recommendations followed by presentation to NASA personnel.
Interested organizations may submit written capabilities and qualifications to demonstrate whether the Government should conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. NASA reserves discretionary authority to proceed with sole source award or convert to full and open competition. NAICS 541690; PSC Y1BG.
