About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Space Command is seeking a small business contractor to perform carpet removal and installation services for the 3rd Test and Evaluation Squadron (3 TES) at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado. The project requires purchasing specific Mannington brand carpet through the Department of the Air Force Carpet II program's Tier I manufacturer pricing agreements, with precise specifications including Style: Oro, Color: Santorini 3416 Patterned Loop, and Size: 24" x 24". Interested contractors must submit company information, including their UEI number, small business status, and potential NAICS code suggestions by February 28, 2025. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating base access, protecting existing furniture, disposing of old materials, and completing a final inspection with government representatives. Installations must occur during normal duty hours (0730-1630 Monday-Friday) and require coordination with separate furniture and painting service requirements.

This opportunity is designated as a total small business set-aside with a focused scope of work across multiple rooms, including Room 15, Room 06, and Room 16, totaling approximately 600-700 square feet of carpet replacement. While specific award value is not explicitly stated, the project involves comprehensive services including carpet procurement, removal, installation, and adherence to strict base security protocols at Force Protection Condition Bravo. Contractors must provide certified installers, submit personnel information three days prior to base access, and maintain specific environmental controls during installation. The work will require obtaining visitor passes through the Irwin Gate West entrance and following precise base access procedures. Successful contractors will need to demonstrate capability in commercial flooring installation, familiarity with government facility requirements, and ability to coordinate complex service delivery in a military installation environment.
