About this opportunity
The FDA's Office of Acquisition and Grant Services seeks a complete 2D High-Density Multi-Electrode Array Electrophysiology Platform, including hardware, software, accessories, initial consumables, installation, system verification, calibration, training, and warranty coverage, with quotations due September 23 and questions due September 17 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
This unrestricted RFQ is issued as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products and services; no separate written solicitation will follow. Award will be made on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis to the responsible offeror whose quotation meets all mandatory minimum requirements and represents the lowest evaluated price. Quotations failing to satisfy any mandatory requirement will be rejected without further consideration.
Place of performance is the FDA's White Oak Campus in Silver Spring, Maryland. Delivery must occur within 60 calendar days of award. The contractor must complete all installation, system verification, calibration, training, and demonstration activities within 75 calendar days; the Government will then communicate final acceptance within five business days thereafter. The two-year manufacturer warranty begins on the date of Government final acceptance. The solicitation includes three optional one-year periods for preventative maintenance and repair services.
Technical requirements include at least 2,000 electrodes per recording well at 10 kHz sampling rate, 1,000 simultaneous electrodes at 20 kHz, spatial resolution of 30 micrometers or less, continuous active sensing area greater than 10 mm², multi-well capability, environmental controls, Windows-based software, and support for raised pillar arrays. Quotations must provide firm-fixed pricing for the base system and all three option years, proposed manufacturer and model numbers, a completed technical compliance matrix with supporting documentation, warranty confirmation, and evidence of active SAM.gov registration. The NAICS code is 334516; PSC is 6640. All quotations are subject to the Trade Agreements Act.
